Shutterfly and stuff

So I finally started it. I’m preparing my first Shutterfly book! After searching some information at DST, I learned that there are some issues with the size and part of your pages being cut off, if you just upload your pages as they are. Yes, Shutterfly provides templates, but apparently they don’t assure you that your pages will remain uncut, because there should always be a bleeding area. And lots of my pages have items or even photos on the edges, so I would like them to remain that way. I decided to buy the Shutterfly toolkit, designed by Wendyzine to prepare my pages. It contains more detailed templates plus an action that does all the resizing for you. You should still have your layered psd files to work with it, and luckily I still have those. I’m happy with this toolkit, it saves me alot of work! Still, it does take a long time to adjust every single page, I’m only halfway, but at least I have the insurance that the vital parts of my page will still be there. I’m in the progress of designing my covers and after that, I still need to figure out how I’m going to orden my pages, as I don’t scrap chronological. I think the easiest way will just be to put pages with similar colors on one spread, rather than trying to orden them chronological. Most of my pages have dates on them anyway (and the ones that don’t, I am adjusting!) I am SO looking forward to this book!
I have new stuff in the store. I kept getting emails about the Collage frames I offered as a freebie a while ago, so I put them in the store for a very friendly price.
And I designed my very first set of overlays! I’m really happy with how they turned out. They are a mix of newspaper and cardboard accents, which - if you hadn’t noticed yet - I love !

And here are some pages my CT did with them:
